Who we are

Land Unlock is a trading name of Spacecraft Studios Ltd, company number 16092286, registered in England. Registered office: 1 Queens Road, Poole, England, BH14 9HF. Spacecraft Studios Ltd is the data controller for the information described on this page.

The short version

• We only collect personal information you choose to give us — most often an email address when you ask for an appraisal.
• Our website and interactive 3D pages carry no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.
• Email us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

When you request an appraisal

If you use the "request a full appraisal" form on one of our interactive 3D pages, or email us about your land, we collect:

• your email address;
• the reference of the site page you asked from, so we know which appraisal to send;
• whether you ticked the box to receive occasional updates, and the wording you agreed to;
• the time of your request.

We use this to prepare and send the appraisal you asked for (steps taken at your request, and our legitimate interest in responding to you) and — only if you ticked the box — to send occasional updates about your land's potential (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us or replying "stop" to any message).

If our request store is ever unavailable, the form falls back to opening a pre-filled email in your own mail app — so nothing about you is ever collected silently.

Our website and 3D viewer pages

We do not run advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on landunlock.co.uk or on our interactive 3D viewer pages. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the service, as almost every website does.

Land and ownership information

To prepare an appraisal we look at information about land itself: public and licensed sources such as HM Land Registry records, local authority planning records and aerial imagery. Where those sources include personal information — for example a registered owner's name — we use it only to prepare the appraisal and to write to the owner about their own land (our legitimate interest, subject to the terms of those sources). We do not sell this information or use it for anything else.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who run our infrastructure — for example Vercel, which hosts our website, viewer pages and request store. They process data on our instructions and may do so in the UK, EU or US under recognised transfer safeguards. We never sell personal information. We would disclose information if the law required it.

How long we keep it

Appraisal requests and related correspondence are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, or for as long as we are actively working together, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent you have given. Email richard@spacecraftstudios.co.uk and we will respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update this page and its version number. Substantial changes to what you agreed to will be asked for again, not assumed.
